During an appearance at the microphones of “Tennis Channel”, the Andy Roddick former U.S. tennis player, among other topics, commented on the’imminent return to the court of Jannik Sinner after his three-month disqualification for the Clostebol case. More specifically, the’former U.S. player was outspoken about what could be the competitiveness of the current world number one at the Internazionali d’Italia.

“I am not worried for a second about the long term, but if you talk about the short term some more doubt is there. I think he will be fine in the long run, but I don&#8217t think this is the best surface for Jannik. He won&#8217t be able to knock out players like we have seen on other courts. When he has both feet firmly planted on concrete then yes he is a dominant player, but on clay it is different and he will have to set his game differently” debuted the’former American tennis player.

“I am not worried about the way he hits the ball or even how he moves. Already last year I thought he was very good on clay. After all, he came one set away from beating a specialist like Carlos Alcaraz at Roland Garros” added Andy Roddick.
