The anticipation is growing for Jannik Sinner&#8217s return to the court. The world number one, who has been out of action for three months due to his disqualification in the Clostebol case, will return to the court at the Internazionali d’Italia, which kicks off on the clay at the Foro Italico on Wednesday, May 7.

Organizers of the Rome Masters 1000 have announced that first-round matches from the lower part of the scoreboard will be played on Wednesday, while on Thursday it will be the turn of the players placed in the upper part, including Sinner precisely.

The South Tyrolean champion, however, being seeded, will benefit from a bye, debuting directly in the second round on Saturday. Waiting for the Italian will be one between compatriot Federico CinĂ  and Argentina’s Mariano Navone.

The Italian will play in the second round.

“I am here to check the level of my game, I want to get to Paris at the top of my game,– Sinner said at the press conference. “I am not here to beat anyone, but to try to get through the round and then see what happens. There’s good that I was able to rest, but I need to get my rhythm back”.
