Kimi Antonelli, the penalty also came after the'accident with Max Verstappen

Kimi Antonelli paid dearly for the mistake he made on the first lap of the Grand Prix d’Austria and that led him to hit an innocent Max Verstappen.
The Mercedes driver was sanctioned by the Board of Commissioners with a 3-place grid penalty to be served at the next Grand Prix, the British Grand Prix.
Not only that, the 18-year-old from Bologna who is in his first season in Formula 1 also lost 2 points (he has 10 left for the next 12 months) on his license.
Max Verstappen commented on the’ incident as follows: “We talked immediately afterwards, it was a very nice gesture on his part to come and apologize, but for me the matter was already closed. Nobody does these things on purpose. It can happen”.
