All’ombra del Santo he wore the biancoscudata jersey on 137 occasions from the 2000/2001 season to the 2004/2005 season. When his Padua adventure ended, he wore the colors of the Ciociara club 63 times, in the 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 seasons.

Disclosing the sad news via social media was his wife Elena Vezzù, a well-known speaker known as Lady Helen: “I hoped until the last – he wrote – he fought as only he knew how to do. But today, unfortunately, my life, my love Paolo Antonioli has left us. I ask you to respect our grief, I will let you know when it will be possible to bid him a final farewell.”

Antonioli, having hung up his shoes, had chosen to remain in Padua: from the bench he had led amateur teams such as Albignasego, Plateola and Monselice.
