Cantù basketball, all preseason dates

By means of a statement, Cantù Basketball has announced the 2025-2026 preseason schedule. The Lombard club will begin the run-up to the upcoming season on Thursday, August 21, when players and staff will meet at the Palaprealpi in Seveso for the official meeting.

The first friendly match is set for Saturday, Aug. 30, when the biancoblù will host Urania Milano in Seveso for a closed-door scrimmage. Preparation will then get into full swing on Sept. 1 with the departure for the Livigno retreat, which will last until Sept. 6.

During the week in the highlands, Acqua S.Bernardo will participate in the Valtellina Summer League, challenging first Cremona, on Sept. 5 at 6 p.m. at PalaTeola in Livigno, and then Trento, on Sept. 6 at 6 p.m. at PalaScieghi in Sondrio.

On Sept. 13 and 14, the Lombardia Cup returns to Desio: Cantù will face Blu Basket Bergamo on Saturday, while Varese and Cremona will duel in the other semifinal. On Sunday, the two finals will be played instead.

Two friendlies away from Lombardy will intersperse the subsequent training schedule in Seveso: on Sept. 20 in Tortona against Virtus Bologna, and the following day, Saturday 21, in Venice against Reyer.

Canturina’s preseason will culminate with the traditional appointment of the Trofeo degli Angeli (Angels’ Trophy), which will again be hosted by the PalaFrancescucci in Casnate con Bernate on the evening of Thursday, September 25. For the occasion, Acqua S.Bernardo’s opponents will be the champions of Egypt from the Al-Ahly Sporting Club.

Before the start of the A Series, there will be room for one last closed-door test against Dinamo Sassari in Seveso on Sept. 27, when the official league debut in Trento will be only a week away.
