Ducati centaur Pecco Bagnaia will have to go through Q1 in official qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix.

The vice world champion ran into the usual braking difficulties at Balaton Park that have been holding him back since the start of the World Championship and failed to qualify among the top 10 riders.

“It was not a great day. Honestly after the tests with the Panigale, where I had gone very strong, I knew that with the GP25 I would struggle a lot here, because it is a track that encompasses the corners in which I have several problems, where you have to brake a lot, enter the turn with a lot of braking and make it turn in the last phase”.

Bagnaia sees a glimmer, however: “In the end you have to look at the positive because over the course of the day I halved the gap from the first and this is already a step forward”.

On the problems with the bike: “I have always made a difference in braking, this year there is no way to put it right. But there&#8217s a way out, Marc is showing that with the GP25 you can stay in front. I&#8217ve been looking for eight months for a way out but still anon find it”.
