Italvolley in Japan ahead of World Cup in the Philippines

Following yesterday in Turin the international tournament with Turkey, Germany and the Netherlands, the Men’s National Team continues its march towards the World Championships scheduled in the Philippines from September 12 to 28.
De Giorgi’s men will return to assemble on the morning of Wednesday, September 3, directly at Rome’s Fiumicino airport from where they will leave for Tokyo for an internship, from September 4 to 9, with the hosts coached by Laurent Tillie. In the Japanese capital, Giannelli and his teammates will play two friendly matches at the LaLa Arena Tokyo Bay on Sept. 6 (8 a.m. Italian time) and Sept. 7 (6:45 a.m. Italian time).
On Sept. 9, the Italian delegation will then fly to Manila to officially begin the run-up to the rainbow title.
For this last commitment, there will still be 15 men at the disposal of De Giorgi, who only on the eve of the World Championships will choose the roster (14 athletes) that will participate in the season’s highlight.
