Ferrari, Carlos Sainz comes to terms with a bad joke in the race
The Spanish driver came to terms with a bad joke in the race
Carlos Sainz managed to take third place in the Singapore Grand Prix. The Spanish Ferrari driver, after a very good start, however, was never able to catch up to Charles Leclerc’s stablemate and Red Bull driver Sergio Perez, who later won.
The Ferrari driver spoke to the media present after the Gp, pointing out the drop in performance he had in the race compared to the first days of the weekend: “My race was quite strange. I was able to get a good start and overtake Hamilton, but then for some reason I struggled with the pace in the first stint with the intermediates and only toward the end of the race was I able to recover although by then it was too late to do better than third. We have to analyze all the data well because I was fast all weekend but in the race I completely lost the feeling with the car.”
“We will be back in the hunt for victory in Japan next week,” concluded Sainz, with great confidence ahead of the fifth-to-last round of the World Championship.
