Euro 2032: Gabriele Gravina concerned about Milan, Rome brings two

The World Cup, 2032 edition, is closer than one can imagine. Italy is being called upon to organize the event and to do so impeccably. At the moment, however, there are many open issues, particularly the one concerning the San Siro stadium, at the center of a thousand discussions.

As things stand at present, San Siro does not qualify to be part of the batch of stadiums that will host matches of the European 2032. This has also been confirmed by Gabriele Gravina, number one of the FIGC: “The Meazza stadium does not meet the requirements demanded by Uefa to host the European. My wish is that the political side, in agreement with lnter and Milan, will be able to find the best solution for Milan” his words reported by Gazzetta dello Sport.

In short, Milan may not be involved in Euro 2032. A paradoxical situation, if we calculate that other cities are scrambling to make themselves ready. In particular, watch out for Rome, which could show up at the event with as many as two facilities.

“The positive ferment generated by the meetings we have held with the 13 realities that have expressed interest is even outlining a scenario in which Rome could compete with two facilities (the Olimpico and the stadium that Roma wants to build, ed.), so I cannot think of Euro 2032 without the most international Italian city and open to Europe”, the conclusion of Gabriele Gravina himself.
