Jannik Sinner, service is no longer a rebus: the words of the blue outfielder

Jannik Sinner’s victory over Marin Cilic in the first round of the Beijing ATP 500 gives several insights to fans and insiders: in particular, answers were expected on the South Tyrolean’s service management, a sore point in the US Open final lost to Carlos Alcaraz.
Sinner himself, on the sidelines of the challenge he won against the Croatian, spoke about progress from this point of view: “I hope it becomes more and more automatic, sometimes I am a little bit’ slow – he said -. On the one hand I have to continue to do what I do well, on the other hand try to vary. I am working on it every day with my team, I am happy with what we saw today”.
Sinner has now accustomed everyone to not having big problems at the first-round level in ATP tournaments: “I always put a lot of concentration into it– explained the current world No. 2 -, because many things can go wrong in the first match of a tournament: you have to find rhythm and adapt to the court, understand how the opponent’s moves”.
“I arrived very early on the court to get used to the conditions right away– said Jannik Sinner again -. Cilic is a high level player but the breaks came early in both sets and that made it easier for me”. Sinner will challenge in the second round of the China Open the Frenchman Terence Atmane, whom he already met and beat in two sets in the semifinals of the Cincinnati tournament in mid-August.
