So it hurts: Lorenzo Musetti withdraws from'Atp Beijing

Lorenzo Musetti’s Beijing Atp ends at the quarterfinals: the Carrara champion was forced to withdraw due to a left gluteal injury. The racquet ace forfeited in the third set at the score of 4-6, 6-3, 3-0.
The first set was controlled with confidence by Musetti. The Azure missed two break opportunities but in the seventh he managed to break the American’s serve going ahead 4-3 and closing 6-4 after 42 minutes.
The Italian player was able to break the American.
In the second partial the momentum changed: at 2-1 for Tien Musetti asked for the physiotherapist’s intervention due to discomfort in his left gluteus. Soon after, the American materialized the decisive break that sent everything back to the third set. In the last fraction, the pain recurred and Musetti was forced to retire when the score read 3-0 for Tien.
