Milan-Como in Australia, Maurizio Sarri has his say on Rabiot-De Siervo controversy

Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri on the official channel of the biancocelesti has had his say on the relocation to Perth, Australia, of the match between AC Milan and Como, taking a position on the controversy between Milan player Adrien Rabiot and Lega Serie A CEO Luigi De Siervo.
“He is right Rabiot, money does not justify everything – said Sarri -. The answer (from De Siervo, ed.) was ugly, as was bringing up the economic aspect. Rabiot could answer that the money would not even be taken by the league if he did not go inside and fight every Sunday”.
On Italian soccer in general Sarri adds that “in Italy a very physical way of playing is being established, you go man to man and certain types of contact sometimes are not whistled, others are whistled and without penalties. In the derby an opposing player made five fouls in ten minutes, all fouls not for yellow but against the spirit and the game of soccer. As a referee after three fouls I would have cautioned. This year we are playing less actual time than in previous years, something needs to be done either at the level of referee conduct or at the level of actual time”.
Finally, a joke about the Azzurri of Italy: “With all the problems I am experiencing right now at Lazio, I care little about the national team. We often talk about ready players, but I often wonder what we do to get them ready. We play a Primavera championship in ignoble fields with 150 spectators, then if he has to play in front of 50 thousand spectators at the Olimpico he struggles and that is normal. I don’t agree with second teams, it is the death of Serie C soccer and parochialism. I think Foggia would rather play with Bari than with Atalanta Under 23″.
