Rasmus Hojlund, in Denmark are certain: "Napoli better than Manchester United"
Calciomercato Napoli: Rasmus Hojlund reborn in Naples after his spell at Manchester United, and even in Denmark they have noticed. Starting with the coach of the Scandinavian selection, Brian Riemer, who after the striker’s double over Belarus made it clear that he now considers the Neapolitan team superior to the legendary English square.
“Hojlund is finally playing in a team that functions well, and around him he has players who are happy to contribute to the good performances of their teammates – said Riemer about his striker’s present in Naples. These elements help make a player like Hojlund perform at his best, and that is more important than the league in which he is playing”.
Having said that, Riemer praised in the round the technical and human characteristics of Hojlund, a player who in his opinion is capable of rendering at a very high level in Naples as much as he could have in Manchester. “Rasmus, in my opinion, has the qualities for both leagues, both the Premier League and Serie A. I have no doubt about that. Besides, in Italy he had already proven his worth”, added the Denmark coach.
The reference is to the 10 goals in 34 appearances that Hojlund had scored in all competitions in his first and only year at Atalanta. That very season, 2022-2023, opened the door for him at Manchester United, where, however, he came up with 14 Premier League goals over the course of an impressive 62 games. The 2003-born Dane, still owned by the Red Devils, has so far registered 26 goals in 95 appearances collected in all competitions with the Englishmen. So far at Napoli, he is already on 4 goalscorers after just 6 appearances on the pitch.
