Four hundred million euros. That is the monstrous sum Simone Inzaghi’s Al-Hilal would be ready to invest to snatch Lamine Yamal from Barcelona. An offer that, if confirmed, would represent an absolute record in the history of soccer. According to reports by Fichajes.net, the Saudi club has reportedly already initiated contacts with the Blaugrana management, however, receiving a clear answer: “Yamal is not for sale.”

The Spanish talent, fresh off a triumphant European Championship with Roja, is considered the symbol of Barcelona’s future. His contract, armored until 2031, includes a salary of about ten million euros per season plus a signing bonus of 25 million spread over six years. Already top player numbers that only Saudi Pro League clubs could afford to raise.

In the meantime, Yamal is stuck in the pits due to a groin inflammation that forced him to miss the last La Liga match – the heavy 4-1 defeat in Seville – and a call-up with the national team for the 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against Georgia and Bulgaria. His presence in the Catalan derby against Girona is also in doubt, with Hansi Flick determined not to risk anything ahead of the Clásico on Oct. 26.

The Saudi offer comes at a delicate moment for Barcelona, which is coming off two consecutive defeats between Champions (1-2 with Psg) and the league. According to the Spanish press, tension in the locker room is reportedly growing: Flick has reportedly reprimanded the team for lack of intensity in training, receiving in return discontent and accusations of poor communication. A tense climate that could also affect market dynamics.

In this context, Al-Hilal’s maxi proposal risks becoming more than just a suggestion: a temptation capable of shaking the foundations of the blaugrana project.
