Olimpia Milano at Barcelona, Ettore Messina explains what he wants from the team

Olimpia Milano back on the court Tuesday against Barcelona in the Euroleague, and coach Ettore Messina is not hiding about the difficulties that the Catalan trip could represent for the meneghina team. Especially since the absences will be numerous, from Lorenzo Brown to Zach LeDay and Josh Nebo, in addition to Diop. Not to mention the challenge to the great former, Kevin Punter.
“Barcelona is a physical and powerful team, it is both in the outside and inside players– stressed Messina -. We will have to focus on their inside game, trying to limit them. It will then be important to control rebounds, and when we attack be fast and move the ball well. Just as we are managing to do in the last few games”.
Messina then dedicated a thought to Punter: “It will be a pleasure to see him again. He gave a lot to Olimpia Milano during the season he spent with us. It is nice to confront him again, but also with a great opponent like Toko Shengelia“, Messina added.
The situation in the Euroleague, for that matter, is not exciting. Olimpia Milano has won only two of the six games played to date. It needs, consequently, to turn things around if it is not to risk straying too far from the play-off zone. As mentioned, however, to achieve this coach Messina will have to deal with several important absences among other things, especially in the long department.
