San Siro to Milan and Inter: signed the deed

The San Siro stadium now belongs to AC Milan and Inter. This was announced by both clubs through a joint statement: “AC Milan and FC Internazionale Milano announce that they have today signed the deed of sale with the Municipality of Milan for the purchase of the Great San Siro Urban Function, including the Meazza stadium and the surrounding area”.

“The realization of the new stadium and the urban regeneration intervention for the San Siro area represent a new chapter for the city of Milan and for both clubs– continues the Milan and Inter Milan note.”

This important milestone reflects the ambitions shared by Milan and Inter Milan and their respective owners, RedBird and Oaktree-managed funds, for long-term sporting success and for an investment that will create value to support the sustainable growth of both clubs”.

“The clubs have entrusted Foster + Partners and MANICA with the design and development of a new world-class facility and master plan for the surrounding area. The stadium will meet the highest international standards and is set to become a new architectural icon for the city of Milan. As part of the project, a new center of excellence will rise, reflecting the sports and cultural vocation of the San Siro district and the entire city, regenerating an urban space in the name of innovation, sustainability and accessibility”.

“The transaction, finalized through the company Stadio San Siro S.p.A., is supported by a loan arranged by international banking institutions Goldman Sachs and J. P. Morgan as main coordinators, together with the clubs’ banking partners, Banco BPM and BPER Banca” closes the statement from the two Milanese companies.
