Bundesliga 2025-2026: Hamburg-Borussia Dortmund, the likely lineups

On the one hand, a team in the less noble half of the standings, back from three consecutive knockouts, on the other hand, one of the most credible competitors not so much to contend for the title to the infallible Bayern (still with a full score after nine days), but for a place in the Champions zone: these are the premises of Hamburg-Borussia Dortmund, a match valid for the tenth day of the Bundesliga.

In the match scheduled for Saturday at 3:30 p.m., Hamburg will have to do without the injured Omari and two disqualified players, Pherai and Fabio Vieira, both of whom were sent off in the 4-1 loss to Cologne last Sunday. In the midfield, therefore, there is room for Gochloeishvili, while Youssuf Poulsen will be in attack along with Philippe and Dompé.

On the other side Borussia wants to redeem itself after the blowout suffered in the Champions League (4-1 at home to Manchester City). Unavailable due to injury Bensebaini, in doubt the presence of Brandt and Süle, both of whom are injured and destined, in all likelihood, to the bench. In coach Nico Kovac’s 3-4-2-1, there will be Guirassy in attack, with Adeyemi and Chukwuemeka behind him.

Probable lineups

AMBURG (3-4-3): Heuer Fernandes; Capaldo, Vuskovic, Elfadli; Gocholeishvili, Lokonga, Remberg, Muheim; Philippe, Poulsen, Dompé. All. Polzin.

BORUSSIA DORTMUND (3-4-2-1): Kobel; Anselmino, Schlotterbeck, Emre Can; Couto, Gross, Bellingham, Svensson; Adeyemi, Chukwuemeka; Guirassy. All. Kovac.
