Jannik Sinner towards the'last hurdle with an'extra weapon

Visibly satisfied with reaching his third consecutive final at the ATP Finals, Jannik Sinner spoke to the microphones of the tournament’s organization shortly after the semifinal match he won against Alex de Minaur, congratulating his opponent and thanking the audience for always being on his side, providing him with drive and confidence even in a complicated first set.
“It was a very difficult match – said the’current world No. 2 -, especially at the beginning I missed a few answers, while he served very well. He played a good match. For my part I tried to raise the level in the second set, I immediately found a break and that gave me confidence. Good win, but now I have to think about tomorrow”.
The opponent, in the final act of the tournament that featured eight of the world’s top-ranked players, will be one between lifelong friend-rival Carlos Alcaraz and Felix Auger-Aliassime. Sinner, by his own admission, is relying on the support of the crowd as an extra weapon: “It’s the last tournament of the year, we’re all tired but I’m lucky to have this cheer” he explained.
“I am sure the crowd will give me an extra boost, playing at home is always very special. Tomorrow will be a tough game regardless of the’opponent, I am already happy to find myself competing again for an important trophy. All I can do is date everyone to the final” Sinner concluded, before heading back to the locker room.
