Franco Morbidelli, double mockery after absurd accident

Franco Morbidelli’s season could not have ended worse. The Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team centaur, in fact, was forced to retire after only one lap from the Valencia Grand Prix after the’absurd incident with Aleix Espargaró, who was hit by the Italian-Brazilian while he was positioning himself on the grid.

After the collision with the Spaniard, the Roman rider fell to the ground causing a fracture in one hand, as confirmed by his own team: “After a fall in the Valencia GP, Franco Morbidelli has been diagnosed with a fracture of the fifth metacarpal of his left hand. Franky will miss Tuesday”’s test.

The’accident with Espargaró really cost Morbidelli who not only had to raise the white flag in the’last GP of the season but will also be forced to skip testing, scheduled for Tuesday, November 18, also at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia.

Franco Morbidelli ended the 2025 MotoGP World Championship in seventh place in the rider standings with 231 points, 31 less than his teammate Fabio Di Giannantonio, sixth at 262.
