Monza drops the Sevens, Cesena beaten

There was of course great expectation for the challenge that closed Sunday’s thirteenth day of the cadet tournament and that at the U-Power Stadium in Monza pitted the Biancorossi against Cesena: 1-0 the final for the leading team, with its seventh win in a row and now at +3 on Modena, stopped in the afternoon by Sudtirol (0-0).
Paolo Bianco’s men go to rest on 1-0 thanks to a goal scored by Obiang in the 37th minute: the former Sampdoria player triangulates with Dany Mota and then leaves Klinsmann no chance from close range.
In the second half, Monza tried to put the game to sleep but Cesena was a tough nut to crack and was also unlucky in the 70th minute when it went in on goal but saw Shpendi’s score cancelled out for an offside at the start of the action. Once the danger passed, the hosts try to close it out, but at the same time they have to watch their backs: the result does not change anymore, although the Bianconeri do not give up until the end, like their fans, who chant ‘Romagna mia’ at the triple whistle.
In the stands, among the spectators, also Mario Beretta, former coach of several Serie A teams, and Raffaella Fico, showgirl and partner of Armando Izzo.
