Middlesbrough and Coventry City face off Tuesday night (8:45 p.m. Italian time) at Riverside Stadium in a direct clash between the Championship’s top two. The Sky Blues are leading, Boro are chasing seven points behind.

Middlesbrough has been going through restless weeks after Rob Edwards’ move to Wolves and has handed the team over to Adi Viveash, who has had a win and a draw in the last two games. Kim Hellberg is close to the bench, but it remains to be seen who will lead Boro in the match. The team wants to defend its domestic unbeaten streak and break an eight-game winless streak against Coventry.

Coventry has laid a solid foundation to return to the Premier League, with 37 points in 16 games, the league’s best attack and third best defense. Despite some uncertainty in the 3-2 thrashing of West Brom, Lampard’s team is coming off nine wins in its last 10 matches and five consecutive victories against Middlesbrough.

Probable lineups

Middlesbrough (4-2-3-1): Brynn, Targett, Jones, Ayling, Brittain, Morris, Browne, Burgzorg, Hackney, Whittaker, Conway. All: Viveash

Coventry City (4-2-3-1): Collins, van Ewijk, Thomas, Kitching, Da Silva, Grimes, Allen, Rudoni, Mason-Clark, Sakamoto, Wright.
All: Lampard
