Milan furious, defeat that hurts with Chelsea
Milan-Chelsea 0-2
Defeat amid controversy in the Champions League for AC Milan, beaten 2-0 at home by Chelsea.
The key episode of the match was the one that caused controversy: referee Daniel Siebert in fact punished a restraint in the area by Tomori on Mount (who, moreover, managed to kick on goal) with a penalty and expulsion of the Rossoneri defender. Great protests but useless, also because VAR cannot intervene on these episodes. Jorginho from the penalty spot made no mistake.
Despite being outnumbered, Pioli’s team had a chance to tie the score but Giroud in the 27th minute missed the goal with a header from an excellent position. Soon after, former Aubameyang signed the double that sealed the score with an hour left.
The road to qualification is now uphill for the Rossoneri, although at least Dinamo Zagreb and Salzburg drew.
