Venice gets off to a bad start, Walter De Raffaele asks for time
De Raffaele’s words
Coach Walter De Raffaele spoke after the defeat suffered in the Eurocup debut.
“Congratulations to Ulm for the victory. We had ups and downs during the game. The initial impact was very good and in the third quarter we showed that we knew how to stay with our heads in the game. We were not effective at offensive rebounding and missed a few too many open shots. We know we are a new team, we need to work. We are an open construction site, we hope to get players back to find the set-up the team was designed for. Right now we just have to work and sacrifice, and I think we are on the right track.”
