For Jannik Sinner comes a mockery from the'ATP.

FITP

Despite triumphs at the ATP Finals in Turin and the Paris Masters 1000 and the final in the one in Rome, not to mention finals reached in all four Grand Slam tournaments, two of which he won, Jannik Sinner will not benefit from an additional bonus from the ATP.

World No. 2 will not be eligible for the so-called “bonus pool,” a financial award put up by the top men’s tennis circuit for players with the best results in the Masters 1000 and ATP Finals.

The reason? Each player must participate in at least four 1000s, and Jannik this year, due to suspension for the Clostebol case, missed three, those of Indian Wells, Miami and Madrid, and also forfeited Toronto by playing only three: besides Rome and Paris, only Cincinnati, where he made it to the finals.

Carlos Alcaraz, on the other hand, will receive the bonus but halved: $2.4 million instead of $4.8 million for skipping two at the last moment, Toronto and Shanghai, despite having played five of them, so one more than the minimum limit.
