Milan market, there is a solution for the disappointing bomber

Physical problems have made the situation even more problematic, but Santiago Gimenez hasn’t exactly been able to make his mark with the Milan shirt: the Mexican striker has struggled to make a difference, especially in terms of goals. Having arrived at the Diavolo last January, the former PSV Eindhoven center forward, to date, has scored seven goals with the Rossoneri shirt: six last year and only one in this first slice of the season, in which, it must be acknowledged, he has also often been unlucky. Thin haul, however, for one who, with the Philips team, scored 65 goals in 105 total games.
It cannot be ruled out that the Rossoneri will decide to target some other profile as early as the beginning of 2026. A farewell of Santiago Gimenez in January is possible, provided the right offer arrives. It seems that, from the Premier League, some proposals may arrive. Several English clubs are in need of a star forward. Among them would be West Ham and Brighton, but above all Sunderland, which, according to the latest rumors coming from across the Channel, would be ready to put on the plate a sum able to satisfy the Rossoneri, who are not willing to make discounts: 30 million euros.
The Premier League would be the first to offer the right one.
Clearly, should Santiago Gimenez pack his bags in January, the Diavolo would immediately go in search of a forward who can replace him. The dream remains Robert Lewandowski who, however, is not going anywhere in January, barring incredible twists and turns in Barcelona. It is also difficult for the Polish bomber, whose Catalan adventure is in the headlines, to move under the Madonnina in January: there is strong pressure on him from Atletico Madrid, but above all, it could be the petrodollars of Al-Nassr, where he would go on to form a dated but stellar attacking pair with Cristiano Ronaldo.
In this waltz of bombers obviously the culé will not be found unprepared and it is no coincidence that they are feeling the ground left and right, aware that saying ‘no’ to Barcelona is not exactly easy. Also on the list are two strikers we know well in Italy: the first is Dusan Vlahovic, who is expiring his contract with Juventus and is flipping through the daisy chain; the second is Victor Osimhen, currently with Galatasaray but who is eager to get back into the game in a more competitive league than the Turkish SuperLig. The Nigerian is also liked by the Bianconeri, among whom he would find Luciano Spalletti, who guided him to Napoli.
