Napoli market, Eljif Elmas speaks out about his future

Returned to Napoli on loan from Leipzig at the beginning of this season, Eljif Elmas reached against Juventus the presence number 205 with the Azzurri jersey, which he had already worn between 2019 and January 2024, and has every intention of working to earn the redemption by the same Napoli, which to have the Macedonian player again outright will have to pay into the German club’s coffers a sum of 17 million euros plus bonuses. At the microphones of Radio CRC, the 1999-class midfield joker spoke precisely about his hopes for the future of his career, confirming his desire to stay in Naples.
“It is an honor for me to have collected more than two hundred appearances with this club – said Elmas, who before returning on loan to Napoli had faced the second half of last season with the Torino jersey -. Coming from Macedonia and reaching this milestone for me is extraordinary: I am delighted with what I have done so far, I can even reach three hundred”. This year Elmas had started quietly, but the many injuries in the Parthenopean side have allowed him to carve out more and more space for himself: “I am trying to do everything the coach asks me to do: of course I am not Lobotka, but I hope to continue to do well”.
The Macedonian then confirmed that at the locker room level the situation is solid, despite some difficulties in this first part of the season, related to the physical problems of important men such as Lukaku, De Bruyne, Anguissa and Lobotka: “We are all united and that is the great strength of this group – said Elmas, whom Napoli had picked up from Fenerbahce in 2019, before selling him five years later and, siccessively, taking him back on loan -: we are all working for a common goal and we are all ready. Even the injured are always with us: we do everything for them and give our best, we won for them too. We have to go on like this”.
The Neapolitan team is now awaiting an important engagement in the Champions League: on Wednesday 10, Antonio Conte’s team will face Jose Mourinho’s Benfica, a challenge between two coaches of charisma and experience.
