Giovanni Stroppa, now at Venezia, made history at Monza. He did so by taking the biancorossi to Serie A for the first time in over a hundred years since the Brianza club was founded. For him, therefore, Saturday’s will be a very special challenge: at the Penzo comes the team that is leading the Serie B standings in the company of Frosinone.

“We will be up against a very strong team, it is always nice to play this kind of match. Whenever they have the ball Monza anything can happen, they are a formation that is adept at restarts, they have quality players like us and they possess a distinct game identity. I give my compliments to coach Bianco not only for what he is expressing on the field: I give them to him above all because he has restored motivation and recompacted the environment, players included” he said.

“In Monza I lived my first experience as a professional footballer, we won the championship and the Coppa Italia of Serie C, in Brianza as a coach I wrote important pages by winning the first historic promotion to Serie A: in biancorosso I have many memories both as a player and as a coach” he then added.

“At this moment it is difficult to touch the team – admitted Stroppa -: I hope that during the matches the changes will affect more, because with substitutions the team must be able to change pace more. To raise the bar the guys who are outside the starting eleven always make the difference, they have to push and have the chance to reverse what are the hierarchies of the moment. So far I am very satisfied because I coach a group of extraordinary guys who are committed every single training session”.
