Jannik Sinner and Matteo Berrettini share a genuine friendship cemented especially by their intense experiences in Davis Cup.
It was there that the pact to conquer the legendary Salad Bowl together was born, a goal that became a reality with the 2024 triumph.
Therefore, it is no coincidence that the two blues found themselves in Dubai to train side by side in the preparation phase for the new season.
Sinner, unlike Berrettini, chose to forgo the Davis commitment to give himself an extra week of rest.
The Roman, for his part, can look forward to the future with the enthusiasm stemming from the recent victory in Bologna.
From the footage circulated on social it emerges a training conducted at a very high pace.
Great intensity in the exchanges and special attention to athletic condition.
Also capturing the attention was the presence, alongside Alessandro Bega, Berrettini’s coach, of former Swedish top 10 Thomas Enqvist.
A name often juxtaposed with Sinner in the role of possible super coach.
Is this the beginning of a concrete collaboration? Only time will tell if this relationship will continue into 2026.
If the feeling between the Italian tennis player and Enqvist will be such that it will turn into a long-term technical project.

In an interview given to Tennis365, Marcos Baghdatis was unbalanced on who will win more Grand Slam tournaments between Sinner and Alcaraz: “It is very difficult to say. I would say Alcaraz because he has more variety in his game. Mentally, however, he is perhaps less consistent than Sinner: this is something that could backfire on him. That said, my choice still falls on Alcaraz”. At the moment, the Murcian holds a 6-4 advantage over the’Alto Adige native as far as majors are concerned: Carlos has won Roland Garros twice, Wimbledon twice and the Us Open twice; Jannik has won on two occasions at the Australian Open and Wimbledon and once at the Us Open.

So the former world number eight has identified Joao Fonseca as the possible third wheel in the duopoly between the Blue and the Spaniard: “He is one of those who might be able to meddle in the rivalry, and I think he will”. The young Brazilian star reached his best ranking in 2025, ending the season at the number 24 position in the world classic with 1,635 points. “But aside from Fonseca, especially in a Slam where it is played best of five sets, I don&#8217t see who can stop Alcaraz and Sinner. Yes, maybe Alexander Zverev can win. But it will be tough” concluded the’former Cypriot tennis player.

Jannik Sinner’s trifecta: the Blue won for the third year in a row the ATP ‘Fans’ Favourite’ award, reserved for the’favorite athlete of all the fans in the world. Not even the Clostebol affair and fierce criticism on social media from various haters have dented the dominance of the South Tyrolean, who had also won the award in 2024 and 2023.

“Thank you so much for voting for me – said Sinner -Winning the Fans’ Favourite award once again means everything to me, especially thanks to you. It has been a very busy year, but you give me so much energy and love, especially when I take the field and play in front of you. It is the most wonderful feeling for us tennis players, so thank you from the bottom of my heart”.
