Everything was easy for Jannik Sinner in the second round of the Australian Open. The Italian got rid of James Duckworth in three sets: 6-1, 6-4, 6-2 the match’s partials. The world number 2 played a solid match, never giving his opponent a chance to get into the match. The match, in fact, lasted less than two hours (1 hour and 49 minutes of play to be precise). Good signs ahead of the upcoming matches with the Italian already looking decidedly on the ball. Jannik Sinner’s goal is clear: to go all the way and win the Australian Open for the third time in a row.

Jannik Sinner’s debut at the Australian Open did not convince everyone, at least on the style front.
The outfit consisted of a dark green jersey with thin black stripes and the classic white Nike logo, paired with shorts of the same color.
The aesthetic choice immediately ignited debate on social media, dividing fans and enthusiasts.
Apparently, the look would not have convinced even Laila Hasanovic, a Danish model and Sinner’s partner.
Hasanovic in fact left a rather telling “like” under a comment on TikTok.
One user, showing a new outfit, wrote her "We need you to dress like this when you go to Nike HQ to resolve the issue of Jannik" suits.
A simple but significant gesture, which seems to confirm how the new suit did not make unanimous.
Also on X the debate has been heated.
While some appreciate the original color choice, others regret the outfits of the past, often accompanying the comments with irony.
Sinner meanwhile is ready to take the field for the second round.
His adventure in Australia continues.

Jannik Sinner gets off to a strong start right away. James Dackworth has to resort to real magic to hold serve in the first game. The Italian picks up the pace and sets up the break, making it 3-1, with a beautiful backhand that leaves his opponent stunned. The serve also works. The defending champion, after only 18′ of play, already leads 4-1. The 34-year-old Australian does not have the strength to react and gives up another serve. In an instant, 6-1 in favor of Jannik Sinner, in total control of the match.

James Duckworth is not willing to be the sacrificial lamb and starts the second set with great determination (2-2). Jannik Sinner repeatedly attempts the break, which comes, punctually, in the seventh game. Ahead 4-3, Jannik Sinner does not look back anymore (perfect serve and ace flourishing) and also takes home the second partial 6-4 (also breaking at 5-4 in his favor). The Azure is eager to close the file quickly and you can see it from the’intensity of his game.

At the beginning of the third set, the break came immediately for the blue outfielder. The Australian tries to vary his game in an attempt to undermine the South Tyrolean&#8217s certainties. Between some “experimental” play and the usual majestic game from the back court, the two-time Melbourne champion closes 6-2 the third set.

So continues the march of Jannik Sinner who, to date, has not yet conceded a single set to his opponents and already seems to be going at an important game speed. Note how the serve, in the match with James Duckworth, went great: 18 ace.
