Milan market, 3 champions to fix the defense

In this first part of the season, the need has emerged for Milan to buy a new defender: Koni De Winter is carving out more and more space but the young star’s performance is rather erratic. The former Genoa man alternates convincing performances (such as the one against Roma, which was also topped by a nice header goal) with trivial mistakes that the Rossoneri team absolutely cannot tolerate, which is why Igli tare is working to give Massimiliano Allegri a thick graft already in the winter soccer market window.

In recent days, the Radu Dragusin hypothesis has popped up. The Romanian is not a new name for the Diavolo: already a couple of years ago, during the defender&#8217s experience with Genoa, he was sounded out by the Rossoneri management but then Tottenham got the better of him and in 2024 won him for 25 million euros. In England, things are not going so well for Dragusin, who has had some problems settling in and has not been able to convince Thomas Franck to guarantee him a significant space in the team. Certainly the Spurs&#8217s overall performance has not helped him and he may therefore decide to return to Italy to revive himself.

Also on Milan&#8217s notebook is the name of Mario Gila, Lazio&#8217s rangy center back whose contract expires in summer 2027 with the biancoceleste club. The club&#8217s problems are slowing down all renewal negotiations and Gila does not seem convinced that he wants to continue his experience in Rome, which is why he is a serious candidate for departure as early as this soccer market session. In addition to AC Milan, Inter is also interested in Gila: the Nerazzurri will have to replace Stefan de Vrij and Francesco Acerbi at the end of the season.

Among Milan&#8217s market targets is also Nathan Aké, a highly experienced footballer currently with Manchester City. Pep Guardiola holds the Dutchman in high esteem, but he is unhappy with his poor minutes and is reportedly considering a farewell in order to convince coach Ronald Koeman to bet on him for the upcoming World Cup.

The operation is far from simple: Nathan Aké earns 9 million euros a year in Manchester, a figure absolutely out of the Rossoneri parameters, and it will take a huge effort on the part of the player to make the negotiation with Milan feasible. It is difficult, at the moment, to assume that City will contribute to the payment of Aké’s salary for these 6 months.
