On the sidelines of the Europa League match against Maccabi Tel Aviv, played on the neutral in Backa Topola, Serbia, Bologna sporting director Marco Di Vaio took stock of the Rossoblù market at the microphones of Sky Sport, answering questions about incoming negotiations and rumors of potential exits, above all that of Dutch striker Thijs Dallinga. Bologna is still engaged on three fronts: in addition to the league (where it is aiming for European positions) and the second continental competition, the Felsinei are also engaged in the Coppa Italia.

For Di Vaio, however, there will be no shake-up between now and February 2, the day the winter market will close. “We have already moved by closing the Fabbian-Sohm exchange – said the Rossoblù diesse, who of the same club was also a striker from 2008 to 2012, scoring 66 goals in a total of 148 appearances with the Bologna jersey -. Tonight we are only thinking about the match. There are only a few days left until the market closes, we will evaluate and be vigilant as always. We have neither numerical nor technical needs”.

As for the future of Dallinga, who is being chased by English and Spanish clubs, Di Vaio was equally categorical: “There is a lot of talk about him, but we have not received anything official. We are not interested in talking about it” he said. The goal remains to continue to surprise in Europe as well, regaining the smile after a few too many setbacks in the league: “In the Europa League we have made a very good run– said Di Vaio -. To have reached qualification for the playoffs with a day in advance was not a given. We want to play our best in the Coppa Italia” too.

“In the league we lost something in the’last month due to some’ distractions, we paid for some individual mistakes– then added the sporting director of the Emilia club -. We have to be very careful, so that we can also start the month of February, which will be very intense” in the best way.

In the month of January, Bologna won only one match inside the national borders, on the 15th against Hellas Verona’Hellas Verona. A match, by the way, that started rather badly, with the momentary red-blue advantage signed by Gift Orban, which was however remounted by goals from Orsolini, Odgaard and Castro, before Freuler&#8217s irrelevant own goal in the second half.
