Lindsey Vonn, tough training with broken knee: "I won’t quit"

Lindsey Vonn is aiming for Sunday’s downhill despite her broken knee, and on social media she posted a video of her training hard with three days to go before the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan Cortina. The star skier suffered a ruptured left cruciate ligament but confirmed she will be on the slopes no matter what.
“I’m not giving up, working as hard as I can to make it happen! Thank you to my team and all of you for your incredible support. I keep believing in it”, wrote on social media the champion, who is expected at the first round on Friday morning.
In the video, Vonn lifts the barbell, jumps and does free body squats with a flashy brace on her injured leg: images that impressed fans on social.
The 41-year-old skier has won 12 times on the Olympia slope of the Tofane in Cortina d’Ampezzo and definitely does not want to miss the chance, the last of her career, to win an Olympic gold medal: it would be her second after the one she won 16 years ago in Vancouver.
