At 28′ came the doubling by Thuram, a perfect insertion on an assist from a wild Dimarco, at 41′ Sassuolo halved the disadvantage with Thorstvedt but the goal was annulled for offside.

In the second half Inter took off: Lautaro Martinez at 53′ made it three after a mistake by the neroverde defense, Akanji scored poker at 54′ on another Dimarco corner kick. Matic on the occasion lost his temper and was sent off after some words addressed to referee Chiffi.

There is no game with Sassuolo reduced to 10, Inter draws breath, hits a post with Thuram and seals the fifth goal at the 89’89’ with Luis Henrique, in his first goal with the Nerazzurri jersey. The Brazilian took advantage of an empty exit by Muric, a bad day for the Nerazzurri goalkeeper.
