A resounding possibility reopens for Leon Goretzka

In the tangled future of Leon Goretzka, there is only one certainty: at the end of the season he will leave Bayern Munich and move to a new team. It is not yet known which one but, in the last few hours, a resounding possibility that seemed to have been definitively ruled out has reopened: a move to AC Milan.
The Rossoneri several months ago contacted the’entourage of the experienced midfielder to understand the feasibility of the transfer but too high costs had convinced Milan to abandon the hypothesis: in addition to Leon Goretzka’s cumbersome salary, one must add the onerous commissions for the player’s entourage. New developments, however, could bring substantial cash into Milan’s coffers.
The Rossoneri club has several players on loan and redemptions could yield around 70 million euros, a very large sum that would allow Milan to move more easily in the market. Leon Goretzka is a big dream of Massimiliano Allegri, who wants to add more experience to the Rossoneri midfield after the’purchase of Luka Modric last summer.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich is considering several options to replace Leon Goretzka, and one of the most ambitious targets is Sandro Tonali, a Newcastle star whom the Bavarian club has been monitoring for some time. The Italian star is having an excellent season in England and is back on the Bavarian club’s radar as a possible reinforcement for Kompany’s midfield despite the fact that the department already boasts top-notch elements (Joshua Kimmich, Aleksandar Pavlović, Tom Bischof and others). The biggest obstacle to Sandro Tonali’s purchase is the price.
According to BBC reports, Newcastle will sit at the negotiating table only if an offer of at least 100 million euros comes in, a very high figure that poses a big problem for Bayern Munich.
The club has been working for some time to reduce the costs of the team and to avoid such huge expenses (except in exceptional cases such as Harry Kane, who was paid 95 million euros). In addition there’s competition from Real Madrid, which could therefore raise Tonali’s price further.
