"Sometimes he makes opponents look bad, sometimes he does one trick too many"

"But we all still want to see him trying, doing things like that"
Matthäus openly warns those who mock him: "He's like Messi, and even Leo sometimes everything didn&#039t work out at 17"
"Let the kids have fun and let us have fun"
"Everyone wants the magic and tricks of superstars"

"Sometimes opponents feel a little bit' teased, but it is normal"

For the defense Matthäus advises against the’signing of Schlotterbeck from Borussia Dortmund: “Bayern already has three other players who can play in the center of defense besides Upamecano and Tah: Kim, Ito and Stanisic. No need for a central defender”. Also no to Givairo Read for the right flank: “The question is, do you really need him? I think no. I would continue to deploy Konrad Laimer in that role, he is one of the best d’Europe”.

In midfield, the perfect replacement for Leon Goretzka would be Xaver Schlager, who could leave Leipzig for free in the summer, as he is on a contract expiration date. “Schlager is a player with a great mentality and very good defensively. He brings something that Kimmich, Pavlovic and Bischof do not have”.

In attack Matthäus rejects the’arrival of Yian Diomandé: “100 million euros is too much for a player who would be Luis Diaz’s backup, and so is Said El Mala, who needs space to play”.

The’former player instead advises Bazoumana Touré of the’Hoffenheim: “He has very good potential, he can grow a lot thanks to Diaz”. For Harry Kane’s backup, Matthäus nominates Fisnik Asllani: “He&#8217s exactly the kind of player who could flank Kane: a promising youngster who still has room for improvement. By the time Kane leaves, you may already find the’striker ready at home”.
