Champions League 2025-2026: Inter-Bodo/Glimt, the likely lineups

L’Inter prepares for a European night that can change the balance of the season. After the heavy 3-1 loss in Norway, the Nerazzurri must overturn the scoreline against Bodo/Glimt to clinch a place in the Champions League round of 16. An exit at this point in the tournament would be a stain in no small part on the season of a team that had managed to reach the finals last year.
The choices of Nerazzurri coach Cristian Chivu are now set. In front of Sommer, the rearguard will consist of Bisseck, Akanji (favored over Acerbi) and Bastoni. On the flanks Dimarco will act on the left, while on the right the ballot between Luis Henrique and Darmian remains open: the Brazilian is slightly ahead, but the final decision will come only after the match. Barella is back in the middle of the field, flanked by Zielinski and Mkhitaryan, who currently remains ahead of Sucic. Calhanoglu’s absence weighs, but Chivu trusts in the quality of the trio to give rhythm and verticality to the maneuver. Up front, without Lautaro, room for Esposito and Thuram.
Bodo/Glimt arrives at the San Siro with confidence, with no particular doubts about formation and in a phase of the season that is anything but intense, since the Norwegian league, closed last Nov. 30, will start again on March 14. Knutsen should reintroduce the eleven that won 3-1 in the first leg, starting with the offensive trident that put the Nerazzurri defense in great difficulty: Hauge will act on the left, Blomberg on the right and Hogh in the center. In midfield Berg will lead the maneuver, with Evjen and Brunstad Fet on either side of him. In defense there will be room for Sjovold, Bjortuft, Gundersen and Bjorkan, while former Palermo man Aleesami will start from the bench.
