Luis Diaz has settled in very well in Germany and immediately made a huge contribution to Bayern Munich, the figures also show this. So far, the former Liverpool Colombian has collected 19 goals and 15 assists in 33 games played in the Bavarian club’s jersey, impressive numbers especially considering that he is in his first season in the Bundesliga.

Part of the credit must also be given, of course, to Bayern Munich, which has always insisted a great deal on the settling-in aspect. Indeed, according to BILD reports, there is a special clause in Luis Diaz&#8217s contract: the player must take at least 2-3 German lessons a week to learn the language as quickly as possible. It is the club itself that monitors the Colombian star’s progress, and if the results are not positive, Luis Díaz would pay a fine of up to a maximum of 50’000 euros.

The transfer of Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich has inevitably weakened Liverpool and Arne Slot recently returned to the subject: “We received a very attractive offer for him from Bayern. If this club receives an offer like that for a 28-year-old, then the club, which is founded on sustainability, chooses to sell the player. We are an exception in the top Premier League clubs, but it is also because of this model that we have been able to do very well in recent years. Now I see that he is doing very well at Bayern and I am not surprised”.

Bred in Barranquilla, Luis Diaz played for Junior before moving to Porto in 2019 for just under 8 million euros. His excellent performances with the Portuguese club convinced Liverpool to invest €50 million to buy him in 2022, then the star player moved to Bayern Munich for €70 million, and so far he is proving to be a very good investment.

The Colombian’s performance in the 2022 season has been a good one.

Recently, the Colombian extolled the qualities of Harry Kane: “I have seen him play in England because we have played against Tottenham several times. But it is one thing to see him as an opponent, another to share the locker room with him and be on the training field with him every day. To see how he moves, how he asks for the ball, how he works for the team, how he scores: he is a goal machine”.
