As announced several weeks ago now, at the end of the season Leon Goretzka will leave Bayern Munich to try a new experience. The footballer is in the crosshairs of many clubs and in these months he will evaluate all the offers he has on the table (excluding those from Saudi Arabia since he wants to stay in European soccer), meanwhile Bayern Munich is reflecting on his replacement.

Vincent Kompany has at his disposal several resources in the squad (Joshua Kimmich, Tom Bischof, Aleksandar Pavlović) and Noël Aséko Nkili could be an excellent addition but the Bavarian club executives are monitoring the market looking for some opportunities such as that of Martin Ødegaard, who is unhappy with his situation at Arsenal. The Norwegian footballer, long on Bayern Munich’s radar, was one of the untouchables in Mikel Arteta’s squad but now things have changed.

After the bad knee injury the footballer dropped down in the Spanish coach’s hierarchies and in the last few matches Eberechi Eze took his place doing moreover very well. Competition with the English footballer does not make Ødegaard happy and a farewell in the summer is no longer as unlikely as it was in the past. Liverpool legend Steve Nicol recently told ESPN: “Ødegaard could leave Arsenal. He was the captain of the team, one of Mikel Arteta&#8217s key players, then after the injury some doubts arose about his regularity and he is now in the shadow of Eze. I don&#8217t think I would stay if I were in his situation”.

Frank Leboeuf is pessimistic about the Norwegian footballer&#8217s importance in Arsenal: “I always liked Martin Ødegaard because his style of play is very elegant, but he is not so influential in the team anymore and you can see it clearly – he told ESPN -He is there to start the action, to distribute the ball horizontally. But with Eze, right now, the movements are not the same; Eze is more direct, more influential, and will also help Gyokeres”. It cannot be ruled out that in the next few weeks Bayern Munich will make a survey with the Norwegian’s entourage to understand the feasibility of the transfer, then there will be bargaining with Arsenal over the price of the card.
