New Mater Volleyball: Peppe Longo returns home

Longo restarts from his roots

Three years later, back home again. In a different jersey, but back at the Pala Grotte. Peppe Longo completes the setter department of New Mater Volley Castellana Grotte for the 2022/2023 sports season and the upcoming A2 Credem Banca men’s volleyball national series championship. Born in 1998, 188 cm, the Putignano-born but Castellanese doc director returns to his hometown team after three years around Puglia and Italy.

Macerata and Lecce in Serie A3, Bari in Serie B the stages of the last three seasons. Castellana Grotte in Materdominivolley.it jersey (for two years in 2016/2017 and 2018/2019) and Bergamo his previous experiences in A2 series. Now the return to the City of Caves to join Italian-Brazilian Pedro Jukoski as director at New Mater Volley.

The setter recounted his emotions about this homecoming, “I have already imagined what it will be like. But maybe it will be even better. For sure it will be good feelings, full of pride and joy.”
