Ferrari, Charles Leclerc sends clear message to Carlos Sainz

The Monegasque honors the work of his teammate

It is a relaxed and smiling Charles Leclerc who spoke to the microphones of the international director’s office after the resounding pole position obtained in Le Castellet.

Of the Monegasque’s words, the most striking, in a positive way, were his words of praise for Carlos Sainz, who despite his frustration due to the penalty announced for the power unit change, also worked hard on behalf of his teammate, who not surprisingly also thanked him over the radio at the checkered flag in Q3.

“It was a great lap,” Leclerc said, “I struggled all weekend to get to this result, but I did it and I’m thrilled. The credit, though, also goes to Carlos, who worked hard; I really want to thank him for the work he did on the track.”
