MotoGp, Marc Marquez freezes Honda: ‘I think about my life’
Marc Marquez will test in Misano but warns, “I get tired right away, muscles not ready”
Marc Marquez cools enthusiasm about his return to the track. On the sidelines of the San Marino Gp in Misano, the Honda centaur confirms that he will participate in Tuesday and Wednesday’s MotoGp tests but puts the brakes on his return to racing: “I have lived for a year and a half with my arm rotated 34 degrees and I have to get my whole arm used to it again. I’m here to ride on Tuesday, but I don’t know yet how I’ll feel on Wednesday, if I’ll have pain or if I’ll be able to ride again. For sure, when I come back it will be to run all the races, not one and then skip a few more.”
Number 93 explains that the reaction of his physique is the real unknown: “This test is important for both of us, but especially for me. This operation was done mainly with my life in mind, not just the rider’s. Honda will come later. When I tested the CBR in Aragon the first few laps I had a problem opening the throttle well, little by little I found the right movements, but it’s not long before I get tired, the muscles are not ready yet. After all, an arm operated on four times will never go back to the way it was, although I don’t feel limited anymore.”
