Juventus-Benfica, precedent does not leave Max Allegri calm
The Old Lady lost the first match of the round to PSG
After losing in the opener to PSG, Juventus is looking for redemption, at home, against Benfica. A challenge that is far from easy, given the many absences in the Bianconeri ranks and a less than encouraging record with Benfica.
In six face-offs, the Bianconeri have won only once: 1992/93 Uefa Cup (3-0, Kohler, D.Baggio and Ravanelli). In the other five challenges, Benfica won four times and drew once. Also worth mentioning is the 2013/14 Europa League semifinal with Benfica ousting Conte’s then Juventus (0-0 in Turin and 2-1 in Lisbon). In short, the record is not on the side of the Bianconeri.
