Former soccer player disintegrates Juventus: ‘Physical and technical ebetism’
Reached by TMW Radio, Stefano Impallomeni had his say on Giacomo Raspadori, hero of the moment with both Napoli and the national team: “This guy conveys a special enthusiasm now, in a difficult moment. Great game by Italy with England, he had so many absentees but he brought out the best. He really fought for a well-deserved victory, in which the talents of this boy stand out. He can also be very important for Napoli, where he has fit in well and is trying to climb positions in the national team. He is no longer a prospect but he is a good player.”
The former Roma man then addressed Juventus’ complicated moment: “They have a competitive squad to win the title. There is a mental problem and if so, a coach also trains the head. The confusion is generalized, but the problem is technical. Juventus is not so poor, there is a physical and technical ebetism, there is something wrong. Who is accountable for this situation?”
The climate is also tense at Inter, and fans have recently challenged the ownership: “For me, a coach must come out of these periods with ideas, inventions. Crises are also opportunities, Inter is not in such an overt crisis but it is in trouble and something different is needed. Today it needs to find some elements at the top, but something will have to be invented then. The players have them, they have a lot of technique, but I think Inter-Roma will be important. A reaction is expected and something important will come out of the next challenges. Should it go wrong against Roma as well, it would be a big blow. Even a draw would sound like a defeat,” Impallomeni concluded.
