Goodbye Roger Federer, Adriano Panatta loses his temper: “Troglodytes!”
Adriano Panatta attacks Tiafoe and Sock for their behavior in doubles with King Roger and Nadal
Adriano Panatta harshly criticized the behavior of U.S. players Tiafoe and Sock during the Laver Cup doubles against Rafa Nadal and Roger Federer, at the last match of their careers: “They were villains, those two Americans were constantly pulling full force in Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal’s faces -the words of the former Italian tennis player at the Trento Sports Festival-. It was disrespectful and they did this only because they were not able to do anything else. They are tennis troglodytes but above all they are villains to two tennis players, champions, who have made the history of the sport.”
Panatta, who was not the only one on social media to lash out at the two star athletes, finished with this line, “I thought, God, why don’t you give me a chance to get on the court and do like I did when I was 25 years old….”
