Ample turnover for the Blue Women, coach explains.
Two for two for the national women’s volleyball team at the World Championships being held in the Netherlands and Poland: in Arnhem, after beating Cameroon 3-0, the girls led by Davide Mazzanti replicated the result against Puerto Rico, albeit showing some difficulties that led to stretching the first and second fraction to the advantages (in the end, the Azzurre won with partials of 28-26, 25-21 and 26-24).
At the microphones of Rai Sport, head coach Davide Mazzanti admitted a few too many blunders, however, complimenting the players and clarifying the speech regarding the absence of some of the protagonists of the opening match of the rainbow review: “The girls were able to overcome difficulties and play as a team – he said -. They showed understanding and the ability to read situations. The absences? We are working from the physical point of view, we planned the grafts of Pietrini, Malinov and Lubian. I will make more changes against Kenya to continue this kind of work.”
