Trento, Lele Molin unveils goal for Eurocup
Lele Molin speaking.
Lele Molin, coach of Dolomiti Energia Trentino, spoke at a press conference ahead of the Eurocup opener against Promitheas Patras, scheduled for Wednesday, October 12, at 8 p.m.
The Venetian coach immediately indicated the goal in this competition: “We have given ourselves this goal: that our EuroCup is experienced with great intensity. The tournament is very long, complicated, particular, offers the side of imponderable contingencies. We have to have the will to compete every day, because we might find ourselves in a few months in the condition of doing something that would be absolutely unimaginable today. So we try to live joyfully, game after game, in a tournament that may be challenging for us, but that helps us shape the mentality of the team. We want to try to win every game, on every field. Only with this approach and ambition can we experience a season of satisfaction.
He then continued with an analysis of the opponent: “The Promitheas? Compared to when we faced them a couple of years ago, today they have less known players but the team is really solid: they play a very efficient basketball, and in defense they never take a step back. I expect a match with a lot of contact, of battle under the boards.
“With Matteo’s return we play for the first time in an official match with our full outside department: we will need everyone’s contribution to get the better of their defensive aggressiveness by playing with quality and expressing good ball circulation,” Molin concluded.
