Arkadiusz Milik reveals a market backstory
Arkadiusz Milik, the Juventus striker who arrived in the summer from Marseille, indulged in an interview with the microphones of French daily ‘L’Equipe,’ in which he spoke about the personal and team moment, also touching on some aspects of his past.
The Juventus striker said, “Juve was an old dream. But now it is mostly a starting point, I cannot say to myself that I have arrived, because I am playing here, where I wanted to be. I set new goals for myself when I arrived here, which I keep for myself. I am very motivated.”
He added about his past, “I played four years at Napoli and that helped me in my first steps here. I speak Italian well and this is an important advantage, I have no problem understanding the coach, all the instructions he gives me. Then I already knew this league. Juventus had been chasing me since I was in Naples, but then it was not possible to find the fit. We are happy to have found each other again today.”
Finally, he concluded with a thought on the current season: “We have not started the championship well, that’s for sure. Expectations are always very high here, if you play you have to win. Everyone works to win, throughout the club. And when you don’t win, things don’t go well, you lose points and that hurts everyone. But there are still enough games left to turn things around. I hope we can make up for everything we lost.”
