Albanians lash out at Leonardo Bonucci
Leonardo Bonucci challenged
Leonardo Bonucci ended up in the crosshairs of a group of Albanian supporters during the friendly match played in Tirana by the Italian national team against the one coached by Reja. In the second half, a not-so-friendly chorus was raised towards the defender and captain of the Azzurri: a situation that was also remarked upon by RAI commentator Alberto Rimedio.
A few minutes later there was a clash in midfield between Bare and Verratti, who were both cautioned, and Bonucci himself acted as peacemaker. Who shortly after, with a save on the line, prevented the 2-2 goal by the hosts. And soon after came the 3-1 signed by Grifo.
The national team coached by Roberto Mancini, after the match in Tirana, will be engaged in another friendly on Sunday, November 20, the day the World Cup kicks off in Qatar. The Azzurri will take on Austria in Vienna.
