Torino and Davide Vagnati move forward together
Through an official note, Torino announced the renewal of Davide Vagnati’s contract: “Torino Football Club is pleased to announce that it has extended the contract of Head of Technical Area Davide Vagnati until June 30, 2025. Forward together with renewed vigor: good work, Always Forza Toro!”
Just in the last few days Vagnati has been working to identify a defender suited to the Granata game who can replace Koffi Djidji, who is in high demand in Belgium and England. Among the profiles sounded out is that of Oumar Gonzalez, a Cameroonian defender owned by Ajaccio and whose contract expires in 2023 with an option to renew. Raised in the youth sector of Metz, he has also worn the jerseys of Épinal, Rodez and Villefranche in his career. In 2019 he moved permanently to Chambly, a club he left in 2021 to move to Corsica. In 2019, with the Cameroonian Under-23 national team, he took part in the African Nations Cup in his category.
Coming off a 1-1 draw against Roma, Torino occupies ninth place in the standings. Their next engagement, set for Jan. 4, sees the granata host Hellas Verona.
