Monza, Radja Nainggolan pops up: ‘Galliani told me to call him’
Radja Nainggolan doesn’t give up
Radja Nainggolan, whose experience at Antwerp is in its final credits, is very much attracted to return to Italy, where he has shown his full value in a variety of teams. And according to the feisty Belgian midfielder, the door to Monza could open for him.
“I met in Qatar with Adriano Galliani,” the former Cagliari player told Het Nieuwsblad. “Call me back if you want to play but take little money. You can’t stop: a solution is found’ were his words. And I still feel good.”
Nainggolan’s name has recently been approached by more than one Serie Cadetta club, starting of course with Cagliari. Bari and Palermo are also at the window. And the footballer has already made it known that going down to Serie B would not be a problem for him.
Monza is playing its first Serie A championship: the Brianza team achieved a historic promotion by imposing itself in the double playoff with Pisa. On the bench of the biancorosso eleven was Giovanni Stroppa, who was exonerated after six days of the current tournament and only one point scraped together, thanks to the draw in Lecce.
